April 27th, 2018 marked the completion of the first round of the Forensic Schedule Delay Analysis training.
Chris Carson, a world authority in Forensic Schedule Analysis and one of the primary authors of AACE International 29R-03: Forensic Schedule Analysis recommended practice, conducted this comprehensive training in conjunction with Project Control Academy.
I would like to take a moment here and thank several individuals for their active participation in this program.
First of all, I would like to thank Chris Carson for conducting such an extensive course and opening up the concept of Forensic Schedule Analysis. He shared his 40-years of experience on this subject and helped the students become better delay analysts. In addition to sharing his knowledge every week over the course of 5 months, he supported students with their questions. He took the time to provide detailed answers to students’ questions, using the course online forum. He didn’t leave any question unanswered.
We had senior planner/schedulers, and project controls professionals from 17 countries and ALL continents taking part in this 5-month online training. They were excited from the knowledge gained from this course especially with the in-depth understanding of ALL delay analysis techniques, practical case studies, and the Claims Triage technique.
Here is what some students have said about theForensic Schedule Delay Analysis training:
The following topics were covered in this training:
- Background of Construction Delays
- Contract Basis of Claims
- Project Source Data Quality
- Technical Analysis Issues
- AACE Forensic Schedule Analysis RP Mythologies
- Choosing a Delay Analysis Methodology
- Preferred Delay Analysis Methodologies
- Analysis (Causation Analysis, Responsibility Analysis, Concurrent Delay, Pacing Delay, Delays Not Caused by a Contract Party)
- Mitigation of Delay
- Productivity and Disruption Concepts
- Productivity Analysis
- Damages
- Expert Reporting & Presentation
- Legal Issues
I would like to thank all students who actively participated in the Forensic Schedule Delay Analysis training. It was not easy to set aside 2 hours every week for five months to join the class. However, we had such a committed group of students who did not only take part in each session but also were truly engaged. They asked questions, cheered each other up, and supported one another on their journey. THANK YOU!
Congratulations to the first group of graduates from this training:
It was an honor to have the opportunity to be part of this amazing training.
